I recently had the chance to work as Director of Photography on a music video shoot in Olympia, Washington for the band Congratulations.  The song “Two of Us” was written by Jordan Ingram, the bands piano player and lead vocals.  The group also consists of Abigail Ingram on bass guitar and backing vocals, Matt Buscher on guitar and Chad Austinson on drums.  The band has been described as “moody indie rock with occasional meanderings into jazz and country, jumbling it all together and spitting forth a sound uniquely their own.”  As far as shooting a music video goes, I had the absolute time of my life with the most talented 8 person crew in the country.  We averaged about 3 hours of sleep a night for 4 days in a row but it was all so well worth it.

A special thanks to our very talented actress Maggie Henry and director Dax Roggio, who each made the trip up from Los Angeles, and all of my dear friends in Olympia who helped us pull this off, especially the finest establishment in the area, Le Voyeur.  Without you Le Voyeur we would have been very hungry and way too sober during filming.  I can’t wait until I can share the finished product but that will be months down the road.  In the meantime please take a listen to the song Two of Us (iTunes) from Congratulations and check out a few of my favorite behind the scenes pictures!  Cheers…
